1. What stays on your computer

Your saved progress and settings are stored only on your computer. We do not collect them.

2. Optional live questions

If you use the optional "ask your own question" feature, the game sends the following to our server (hosted on Cloudflare), which forwards the question to Google Gemini to generate an answer:

Please do not type personal information into the question box.

What we keep. Our server does not store the text of your question. It keeps only anonymous counters (for example, how many questions an install has used per day and per case) under a scrambled (hashed) version of your install ID and network address. These are used to enforce free-question limits and to prevent abuse. Daily counters are kept for about 35 days; the per-case counter is kept for as long as the service runs. Answers may be cached for up to 90 days so that identical questions do not need to be generated twice; the cache does not store your install ID.

Cloudflare, our hosting provider, keeps standard request logs for a few days (up to 7), which may include your network (IP) address.

Google processes your question under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not ask for your name, email, or account, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Connection checks

If our server cannot be reached, the game may contact standard Microsoft and Google connectivity addresses to tell whether you are offline. These requests contain no game or personal data.

4. Engine statistics

The game is built with the Unity engine. Unity may collect anonymous hardware and usage statistics (for example, device type and graphics card) when the game starts, under Unity's privacy policy: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The game itself contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools of its own.

5. Age

The game is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

6. Your choices

The live questions are optional, and every case can be solved without them. You can also play offline.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date above will change.
